A jury found a Cottonwood man not guilty Tuesday at the Houston County Courthouse of making terrorist threats.
Houston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven James Price, 25, of Cottonwood Road, on Dec. 1, 2007, a day after the alleged incident happened. Attorney John Steensland III said the jury deliberated nearly six hours before returning the not guilty verdict earlier this week.
At the time of his arrest, authorities said Price had originally threatened his parents and then later made general threats toward Cottonwood High School. The school was evacuated.
Investigators found threats on “written material” inside Price’s Cottonwood family home, authorities said earlier.
